Burnout 3: Takedown introduces the takedown. To take someone down in Burnout 3: Takedown means that you make an opponent crash. There are several ways to take opponents down.
Wall takedowns are probably the most common takedown type. To do a wall takedown you just have to get one of your opponents crash into a wall or structure. They are easiest obtained by smashing into your opponent from the side.
You can obtain these after you crash by entering impact time and directing your crashed car into an opponent. This is only available in offline play.
These are obtained by making an opponent crash into a car, bus, trailer, truck, tram, big-rig or other vehicle.
There are 20 signature takedowns in the game and these can be obtained offline by taking down an AI opponent in specific ways.
These can be obtained both offline and online by tailgating opponents and forcing them to crash without making physical contact or by touching them shortly before they crash.
Takedown an opponent who has already taken you out in the same event.
Burnout 3: Takedown made crashing much more exciting and interactive than previous Burnout game. When you crash you can activate impact time by holding A. This enables you to slightly control the movement of your car and extend the crash damage that you can cause. Impact time is only available in offline play.
