I've done some minor updates to the site today. The most important one is that the text editor (ckEditor) has been updated to the latest versions. For IE 10 users this means that it is no longer required to use compability view when you add blogs or comments.

First of all, apologies for not blogging on anywhere near a regular basis. I have been rubbish about adding updates on here. I blame the fact that I mostly use my iPad now, which is more suited to FB updates, Twittering and using our new chat box feature than writing anything more substantial. Secondly, Xbox have revealed their next gen console, it’s the one. Our little girl was awake while we were watching the reveal and was put to bed during the COD bits at the end, so I wasn’t giving it the full attention that I probably should have.

Finally a fresh breath in the racing genre... I really like the look of this game.

As I just got the Borderlands 2 Season Pass I had to download all the DLC. Since you can only get the DLC that is unlocked by the season pass from the in-game menus it means that you have to wait for the download to complete before you can get the next one. I don't really understand why developers choose to do it this way as they could just add the download to the queue and we could carry on playing our games!

It has been a while since my last post and ZombieTron thought it was time to do some work on the site so here we go...

Spam was a huge problem for us in 2012, but we have finally won the war. We have only had one successful spam post since we introduced the new system (which was caused by human error). The downside is that it is now more difficult to sign up as a new member since it might take a couple of days to get the account approved. Once we get a regular stream of new legit users we might re-open automatic approval but at the moment we get less than 1 new user a week so it is not really a big deal.

So I maxed out on my speed point level at level 71 at over 5 million points.  I decided to go into the concours mode which doesn't seem like it's needed right now, but I haven't done a lot online anyways; so the rest of the cars and stuff was not a problem.  Still I am faced with the dilemma of not seeing a worthy enough benefit of trying to get to level 71 again.  Others have maxed it out and there seemed to be no real reward for it.

I'm sure it's not a hidden character. It's probably just my imagination, but while I was racing in the Ford 150 Raptor, with the other trucks in the park, I was knocked into the little pond.  I instantly pressed pause in frustration and saw this little guy on my windshield. A Mud-Man? The Gingerbread-Man's friend?

Who can blame them! Arguably the best and most skillful Burnout Since the greats of them all, Burnout 3:Takedown!

The new NFS: Most Wanted, is a good game, but it's not Burnout.  So how can we Burners get into it?  Here are some helpful tips:

Concerning the Player:

• Remember, it's not Burnout.  Yes, It looks like it, but doesn't have all the tricks, environmental damage and motivation as Burnout series games.
• Gather your favorite Burnout playlist, and use it as the in-game soundtrack (the familiar auditory sounds may bring back emotive feelings to keep you playing longer)
• Criterion made it, so it should be somewhat similar and fun.  I know, it feels like betrayal, but EA needed their help.

The Game:
