Those of you interested in trying out the Burnout Paradise PC Ultimate Box demo can find it at the following URL: http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_burnoutparadise_downloads.html

It's 3GB in size (since it's the full game but time-limited).

First time to play Burnout paradise online Properly for the 1ST time!!!!!!!!!

I have ordered a new Router and it should arrive today, tommorow or other the weekend, and i have already changed my internet connection from 1mb to 10mb, so i will be able to play online!!!!!!!!!!YAY!!!!!!!!! well play online without me being disconnected half way through the game. But the downside is my parents won't let me spend any more money until around MARCH/EASTER time, so i won't be able to download the Party pack and DLC sadly. :(

THE UPDATE. Good job I'm not from Del Monte

It was 12 months ago today I first played PARADISE, and I loved it.
12 months on and the latest update has drastically changed the game. I'm not from Del Monte but if I was, the man from Del Monte would be shouting a resounding 'NO'. To be absolutely honest, I haven't updated myself and I can only go off the list of messages I've received so far, but the reviews aren't good. In the last 90 minutes I've been informed:
It's blue. Everything is tinted blue. Billboards are bright red but superjump markers are blue... and "blue looks sh*t". "it looks like they got their inspiration from the teletubbies"
Nearly every car is now slower. e.g. the Carbon X12 was 10 speed & 9 boost, it is now 6 speed & 9 boost.
In offline road rages you get 10 secs now per takedown until the target is reached.
Not your finest moment CRITERION, not by a long shot. I'm not going to update and I'm gonna miss that game immensley. I'm just thankful I've done all the (previous) online challenges and I hope I can buy the legendary cars from the PS Store and use them without this update... but that's doubtful. I leave you now with my favourite quote of the morning...
"OMG wot a f*ck*ng balls up Criterion!"

How Online Road Rage should be...

The best incarnation of online Road Rage IMO is in Burnout 3: Takedown. It had all the right ingredients, and the takedown physics were spot on. I loved nothing more then being on the Blue team in my Super Assassin, running as fast as I can away from a horde of Red Euro Circuit Racers.

Does the platform matter? PS3/Xbox360... It's not a war!

***BE WARNED: THIS BLOG CONTAINS NAUGHTY WORDS!!***

I'm getting sick of Xbox360 owners. If you mention a PS3 they go off on a rant saying how the Xbox360 is better for games. I'll be honest, I don't care! This may be true but I don't say bad things about them because I don't have one. I personally don't know one Xbox360 owner who hasn't said "PS3s are shit because... blah blah blah.(This does NOT mean that they don't exist!)
The most recent comment I received was that Xbox360s are better for gaming. I ackowledge this, but I bought my PS3 solely on the reviews of BURNOUT:PARADISE. All reviews said the same thing, the PS3 is better, but you'll hardly notice any difference between the 2.

Crash TV episode 22: Qore Special

My first thought was WTF is Qore? but thanks to Google I now know it is the PS equivalent of Inside Xbox, or at least that's what it seems to be. But, you have to pay for Qore on the PS Store and it is only available in North America.

Driving update

I have re-booked my Driving test for next Friday. I really hope it is 2nd time lucky as I don't think I could face another failure!! Although, I am sure if I don't pass this time, I will dust myself off and try again a bit quicker for my 3rd attempt. I do feel much more ready then I did last time. I have been out for practice drives nearly everyday as well as much longer drives on Sundays.

Red Dwarf on Dave

As I am of a certain age I remember Red Dwarf very fondly, especially singing along to the credits!

This Easter Red Dwarf returns, and returns to Earth!

Red Dwarf on Dave Linky

It could be a little wierd as a lot of time has passed and we are more used to seeing Dave Lister in Corrie, Kryten in Scrapheap Challenge, Rimmer in the Brittas Empire (has he done anything since then?) I don't think I've seen Cat in anything, but we did see him at Play.com live with Hilly.
