AFA 08

I have just gone to the press briefing of AFA 08 in Singapore at the Sun-Tec centre. And introduced us to the stars of the show.

AFA means the Anime Festival Asia, and is the first annual event in South East Asia. Which is looking at Japanese Pop Culture, from Animation, Games, Toys, Manga and lots of other great things from the culture life styles from Japan. This is a family event, and expected to have a great turnout.

On the 10th of October 2008 I was invited to a early preview of Red Alert 3, the new RTS (Real Time Strategy) from EA.

This is part of the Command and Conquer series, started by Westwood Games. The first Red Alert was released to the Public in 1996, and had the Russians vs. the Allies, fighting for space and ore. Had an expansion pack, The Covert Operations, later in the year, that upped the level of difficulty. I played these games, and enjoyed them immensely, and became a fan then.
