I saw the game trailers E3 preview thing, and the bit which shows the stands including the EA stand showing "Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Race" is a computer generated image and doesn't look to me like what EA's stand will actually look like. So, although this has made the rounds on the internet rumour mill, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was the title of CG's NFS game. I also wont be surprised if it isn't.
We are keeping our eyes on the countdown over at CriterionGames.com... only 2 days to go!! 😃
i remember playing the classic hot pursuit! I just went to the criterion website and read some about it an it looks pretty fun. November 18th...Save the date...
Thinking back to NFS HP - I remember this sudden leak the night before the Show.
Basically someone with a contractor pass got into the exhibition hall the day before the Show. There are usually a few folks milling around checking construction setup before three days of chaos.
The demo area let players be online and could either "Race" (in a supercar) or "Chase" (play as the Cop) and the banners above the demo area showed that.
So, bizarrely, for 24 hours, people thought the game was called "Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Race.' - which did make me laugh.
