Cagney denied on the XBox 360!

Tonight Criterion Games announced that the Cagney update will be delayed for the XBOX 360.

When the update was going through the final test phase at Microsoft a few new bugs were discovered and the Cagney update will be delayed until these issues are resolved.  The projected release date for Cagney for the XBOX 360 is now the 24th July.

Eastwood and then what?

The Eastwood update will include "the Island" which will extend Paradise City with new areas to play in. The island will be accessible via a bridge close to the parking garage at Angus Warf. The update will probably include new game play modes, new billboards, smashes, super jumps and challenges. When the island was first announced Criterion Games stated that the Island would be a free extension.

The Year of Paradise

Cagney is the second free update for Burnout Paradise in the "Year of Paradise". The update is currently in submission for certification in Microsoft and it has already been approved by Sony Europe.

Cagney includes 3 new online game modes, 70 new timed challenges, improved ranked racing and lots of bug fixes and improvements.

Criterion Games have announced a release date for the Super Sized Cagney Update!

Originally pencilled in for the end of June, this mega update will now hit our consoles on the 10th of July 2008.

Burnout Paradise on the PC

Todays big announcement was  that Burnout Paradise is coming to the PC! Wooohooo!

"Criterion Games, a studio of Electronics Arts today announced that the awardwinning driving game Burnout™ Paradise is being rebuilt specifically for the PC. Burnout Paradise will be the first Burnout title ever made for the PC, customized with expanded multiplayer, enhanced online features, and community driven content.

BurnoutAholics.com 1 year anniversary!

On the 1st of May 2007 BurnoutAholics.com as we know it today opened its doors to the public. As some of you might know the site has actually been around since July 2006 but the first 10 months was used to try out various ideas and technology for the site.

Motorbikes in Paradise City

In todays Live podcast Alex Ward announced that they will add motorbikes to Burnout Paradise.  It looks like motorbikes will be included in the Davis update which is scheduled for August 2008.

Bogart is dropping frames

Have you noticed that Burnout Paradise has gotten a bit jerky after the Bogart update was applied on the XBox 360? Here is what the Burnout Team has to say about it:

"We're aware there are some framerate issues with yesterday's Bogart update on some Xbox 360s.

Bogart is here!

This morning Burnout Paradise version 1.2 (codename: Bogart) was released to XBOX 360 users. All you have to do to get the update is sign in to XBox Live and load Burnout Paradise. The update will then auto download.

PS3 users will have to wait another 5 days for the update.

Criterion Games reveals the other side of the bridge!

Here are the videos that shows the continuation of the Dust Storm’s journey out of Paradise City and into the first of the new locations.  Criterion Games have not revealed anything about what kind of gameplay we will see on this island but to me this looks like a really good race track 😃 and the bridge is great for stunts.
