Review of the downloadable Dominator tracks

I thought that it's about time somebody here at burnoutaholics wrote a review of the downloadable tracks in Burnout Dominator, and since I'm either the only burnoutaholic that plays Dominator or the only one that plays Dominator and can't keep quiet about it, I rose to the occasion. ;-)

Yet Another Burnout Dominator Bug - or YeAnBuDoBu for short

In completing 100% in Burnout Dominator, I have uncovered yet another bug, but this is one that I have to call critical for any burnoutaholic.

When you drive Time Trial in Record Breaker to set a new best time (or in my case - to get the last 1000 near misses I needed to achieve 100%), the game will not save the best lap time you had this round when you press End Session from the menu, it will save the last completed lap time instead.

Video Gaming not addictive!! you've been told!!

so as you may be able to tell, I'm very busy at work today.. as part of my research and keeping up with industry trends I took my daily look at www.theregister.co.uk and the following article caught my eye..

http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2007/06/25/docs_says_gaming_not_addictive/

So its official you cannot be addicted to video games.. damn, there goes my plan of taking time off for rehab.. was thinking maybe two weeks weening myself off.. starting at 24hrs a day and getting it down to a reasonable 5hrs by the end of the two weeks.. achievable.. maybe..

Flat Out Ultimate Carnage-Stop gap.

The game is great fun, like Burnout 3 Takedown, Crash and Burn, Forza, Dirt and a bit of Mario Party thrown in, will keep me going till Burnout Paradise is out(DEC07). Worth getting, funny and easy to pick up if you have played any driving game, a great fix, over Revenge, also i have a Number 1 time on the figure of 8 course, will not last long i think i can knock 2 seconds of me time, so someone will beat me. Well worth £27, though to you £35. 8 players on-line, mini games and cars blow up to 40 pieces, with flames and concussion,  only 40 less than BO Paradise. Do pick a decent car though, the first one is ok, but others are better and mod up, then buy your race car and street car. This game does stand up to Revenge, not super shiny, as i said, looks like BO3. And you can drive bonus cars, Flatmobile, yellow bus, rocket car and others. Deep Joy. Buy it you will not regret it.

Yo, fellow Burnout fans! I finally found a website worth surfing around in. This website is the best Burnout fan site I've visited😉

WTF - December for Paradise!!!!

Confused.. was just looking on play at the new games for the 360 and noticed that Burnout Paradise is now due for release on the 14th December 2007,, when the F*** did that happen.. thought it was supposed to be out in September.. why are they doing this??? build up our hopes only to take them away 😢

97,35%

Phew... I finally reached 97,35% (that's 9735 dominator points for the uninitiated ;-)) complete in Burnout Dominator. I only have the gold medal in the final event (1.000.000 maniac points in ONE event?!?!?!?) and ~1500 near misses left to complete, and both of those will come in time.

Updates 09-06-2007

I've done a couple of minor updates today.

  • Videos in the "Burnout-Takes" section are now streamed using the BurnoutAholics Clip viewer. You no longer need to download the whole video to watch it.
  • JwintooX - Burners guide video is now pointing to a version of the video on the BurnoutAholics.com and not the YouTube version.
  • New Poll
  • Added Burnout 3: Takedown Drift Jumping video 😃

Ever had an itch while playing Burnout?

It’s amazing what an itchy nose or eye can do to the outcome of a race in Burnout. In the blink of an eye everything can be lost! Just one little scratch and you’ve lost the race that you were sure to win. It seems like the spring is the season for stupid crashes for me. But don’t think that everything is really lost… I have a secret weapon for you. Just start talking about you itchiness to the other racers and with a little luck you will see them crash within seconds 😃.
Try it next time you race and see what happens. Happy racing!

Updates 07-06-2007

In the last two days a couple of new features have been added to BurnoutAholics.com. As you probably know members of BurnoutAholics.com get their own blog. You can now name your blog and give it a description. I've also added a more powerful text editor that makes writing and editing blogs a much more pleasant experience. When talking about editing blogs... make sure that you don't go to another page in the same window/tab that you are editing your blog in. It will be gone when you go back. You have been warned 🙂
