Ex Londoner's Lament

Living 2 hours out of London is lovely most of the time, but I definitely don't have my finger on the pulse as much as I did living in London.

Yes, I knew about the London Games Fest, I was even thinking about travelling up on Monday night to see the Video Games Live Concert. And I heard about the Xbox Games Lounge at the Vinyl Factory in Soho. But I did not hear about the EA event in Trafalger Square until after the fact.

Campaign to Get Burnout 2: Point of Impact on Xbox 360

The only Burnout game which can not be played on the Xbox 360 (except for the handheld games) is Burnout 2: Point of Impact.

This NEEDS to be rectified! So the campaign to get Burnout 2: Point of Impact on the Backwards Compatibility list starts here!

another two

Recived two new games today Crash of the Titans, which is a platform which you follow a set path, its a Ok game but more for kids than Adults, everything is pretty simple on it including the puzzles and Bosse's, I used to play Crash Bandicoot I'm shure it was on Playstation but knowing me and my pepper pot memory I am wrong, not as good as Mario but still a good game and it makes a change from the competetive games I would seriously give this game 7/10.

Eezo man I'm gonna pass your points! Unlucky!

I aint a points whore dude by the way, you can see that by my total gamer points but i am here simply because i've been thinking of blogging about Motorcycling again and i cant get it out of my head - still churning it over and setting myself up for a fall no doubt but i wont let it go - not satisfied with everything i'm experiencing motorcycle wise. Its gonna be Rant Rant Rant - wont be long i reckon until my idea comes to fruition... until then Eezo check out my points B*tch lol Oh no i've reached the point where the Ring Of Death has changed me completely..... 🙁

Talking about retro gaming... the evolution of the FPS

Anyone remember "Pat & Mat"??? The show is a Czech stop-motion animation series. The two characters always get into problematic situations but they never give up, until they solve the problem in imaginative ways. Not sure if this show was ever aired in the UK. Anyway... about 3 years ago Tom Idland made a really funny parody for The Gathering 2004. Enjoy the video.

The Elusive Podcast 10

I have a feeling that Podcast 10 has gone the way of Podcast 8 into the cyberspace void of what might have been.

I have sent a couple of questions as requested by Criterions website which promises that emails will be answered in episode 10. But when will episode 10 be?

Retro Thoughts and a long comma'd flash back, sorry Frozen and others, who thought, but never said it!

For some reason, last night,  I was thinking (yes still capable) about a Burnout Track that you can't crash on, you know, a semi-tube track, like a side-ways C, and you race down the middle, but as you do corners you go up the side, then you have jumps,  over gaps and different paths of sideway C's. Then I was thinking about Extreme G (which was, I think, what I was really thinking about, and it’s a rip off from Wipeout, I think, the time line is very fuzzy, must stop thinking, danger, danger, Will Robinson), the space bike game with guns and bombs and mines. I enjoyed that game, well all versions of it, which were on N64, and I preferred it over Pod-Racer, though that was a cool game also and very fast too. Then Boot names Turok, which I played the first 3 games, though I did not like Rage War and was it the Xbox version or a 360 version that really Sucked bad eggs. But that weapon, the Cerebral Borrer (now some spelling issues), where you shot at a bad guy and the bullet drilled into his head, got in and rattled around and then exploded.

This actually has something in it

a twenty five word entry easy peasy Bloggy, right to bussiness I have bought 4 new games in this last week and only one has turned out good so that is roughly 90 quid down the drain ( I got one for a tenner) Bionicle Heroes what a clap trap of a game the movement dosent work on it, the camera is to slow and its a damn lego game ( me being a noobo dident read the description) Two Worlds is crap I dont care what anyone says its total shite they have tried to copy Oblivion and failed shure some of the Graphics look good but heck so did Turok and we all know what that game was like, some people like cut scenes this game is ruined by them, you cant move a yard before a cut scene pops up, Stuntman Ignition Im not even going to mention it (ok ok Ive done it but...) oops I think Ive done a booby its 3 not 4 and finaly I have The Orange Box which is a Ok game again I never read what it was about just saw 20 odd people on my buddy list playing it and thought lets get it, its not really my kind of game, I preffer to be thrown in at the deep end and shoot my way out not spend time figuring out how to get throu a level ( yes it took me a little while to turn the valve) Im going to stick with it though as there are 4 games in there and it is pretty easy, Oh just seen Sega Rally might get it later. Im slowly changing my mind with PGR 4 it gets better the more you play it, I now have better bikes like the Hiabussa (dont know how to spell that) which is a bitch to controll if you touch anything, the wobble you get is insane at 150mph, I have almost masterd the drifting on the bikes and the Kudos you get for throwing your leg out on a turn is cool, I still cant get the 100 point Endo achivement eevn though I can do a 200 blindfolded, maybe Im doing it wrong..

Even More Life Without Burnout

So its Saturday night, i been working all freekin day and i have to come home to a Nintendo Gamecube with Resident Evil 4 and the original xbox and a sh*t load a games which are poo poo poo:  Retro gaming... I am so glad that things progress.  How did i ever put up with the graphics and game play on Call Of Duty The Big Red One?  Why am i pounding the hell out of a bicycle on the motorways of San whatever on GTA San Andreas trying to shoot a motorcyclist with a poxy machine gun so i can steal his motorcycle?  Why is Burnout 3 so easy now i can drift an stuff thanks to the time i've put into Revenge?
