Underwater swimming?

Criterion have redone their site, and there are a selection of awards they recieved from E3 including Winner! Underwater Swimming, Best of E3. which links back to the criterion page. It is purportedly from "game ftw" and states "Simply astonishing. When it comes to underwater swimming, no developer goes further or faster than Criterion Games. The Hot Pursuit team are taking underwater swimming to the next level. We cannot wait to see where they surface!" is this just for the bad pun at the end or is their a hidden message i'm not getting?

CG also recently tweeted that there is no split screen in NFS:HP as they invented online multiplayer just for this game.

Perhaps they just have an odd sense of humor?
