The Fall Burnout Tournament is a Points based tournament with a professional format, based on those of PGR and Forza. The Tournament has unfortunately been postponed indefinitely.

Preliminary Time Trials

Each racer will submit a qualifying time prior to the Tournament to determine their seeding/placement in the Tournament bracket. 

For the Time Trial, each racer will join to a private room with either Sonic STX or myself to enter their qualifying time. They will be given 2 rounds of 6 laps to submit their best possible laptime. The car used will be the Revenge Racer, and the track will be Sunshine Key Reverse. 

For this time trial, the host (Sonic or myself) will sit out of the way of the racer near the start line. This format provides a completely even playing field (same car, track, handicap for ALL contestants), and gives each racer 12 laps to submit their best possible laptimes. 

Their best laptimes will then be recorded, and their best time will determine their placement.

Once the Time Trial stage is completed, we will determine the seedings (based on the laptime results). There will be 32 max contestants; places 1-32 will be divided into 2 groups of 16, Group A and Group B. (1-16A, 1-16B (1A, 1B, 2B, 2A…. 16B, 16A based off Time Trial results). I will submit a chart to explain this more in depth for all 32 placings.

Tournament

The Tournament will feature 32 participants, whose seedings in the Tournament bracket will be based off of the results of the Time Trial. 

The Tournament races will feature groups of 4 players through 4 rounds of racing. Round 1 will feature 4 rooms of 4 players each in each Group of the bracket (Group A, Group B). The Top 8 winners by points in Round 1 will advance to Round 2 (Group Semi-Finals), which will feature 2 rooms of 4 racers in each Group. The Top 4 winners by points in Round 2 will then advance to Round 3 (their respective Group Finals (one room of 4 players Group A, 1 room of 4 players Group B)). Then, the Top 4 players by points from both Groups will advance to Round 4, which is the Tournament Finals; the Championship Round. The placings in this final round will determine the Tournament winner. I will submit a bracket with the seedings to explain more in depth.

This format will not only show the results for players 1-4, but will show the results for all players, 1-32. Everyone who participates will be able to know their final placement

Details regarding the racing 

Each event will consist of rooms of 4 players. The winners are determined by Points; those with the most Points advance, though this is NOT an elimination Tournament (For the first 2 rounds, the winners are determined by the players with the most points through 2 rooms. This format is heavily based off of the PGR3 Tournament format). The goal is to gain the most Points to advance, so race to WIN!

Each event through the first two rounds will be 5 Rounds, 4 Laps, until Round 3 (Group Finals) and Round 4 (Championship Round), which will consist of 10 Rounds, 6 Laps. The host of the room will be the player with the highest seed.
