2010 - The Year of The Racer

This year looks like it is going to be EPIC for racing games, especially my kind of racing games!!

Ofcourse we all know about blur and split/second: velocity, both due imminently (well May) or being played beta style now!

But, there are other racing titles I am looking forward to too;

Joy Ride: Well, I was looking forward to this being out last year, and it seems to have dissapeared for now... but I am still hopeful that our Avatars will be frolicking on race tracks sometime in 2010.

Joe Danger: Hello Games first title, a Stunt Riding Motorbike game. If you don't know about this game yet, check out Hello Games webpage HERE. Hello Games features some ex CG members, so I am hoping the fun of Burnout is incorporated into this digital download title.

Hydro Thunder Hurricane: I was a big fan of the Midway classic, and I hope this XBLA version does the original justice. There just aren't enough boat racing games out there, so this will be a very welcome addition. If you want to check out the original and you have an Original Xbox it features on Midway Arcade Treasures 3, sadly it is not backwards compatible on the 360.

and then ofcourse there may also be the NFS offering from Criterion Games! Lots to look forward to!!

For PS3 gamers, there's also ModNation Racers and Gran Turismo 5.

I have to say when I saw Modnation racer I got a little wood going on, but for GT5 most of my friends near me, have skipped it for Forza 3, true it may have every car ever invented but it 3 years to late, and the rumour mill around it is shocking, like it was not going to be released till PS4, lol. Then again I don't have a PS3, lol.

I know we are getting a split/second velocity demo, saw via twitter and Facebooook, but i was looking forward to Joy Ride!

Patience is something I taught myself, so I never know when it's going to run out?
