ZombieTron wrote in the forum (in my Forum posting) and stated if I had any comments to the Burnoutaholic website that it would useful, so here's what I thought..
I was just looking at the current poll and actually checked to see if Burnoutaholic is in Wikipedia...It's not......LOL.....I did find all the Burnout games though.....
Great site BTW and Good Job on all the updates to it that you two do on it constantly......its a lot of work and you two are keeping it going daily.......Its still a new site and its amazing that its getting a lot of hits already, that is quite an accomplishment already.....Ultimately as word spreads it will gain even more.....take Eezo for example, he keeps saying Burnoutaholic in his racing room constantly....lol.... Raven mentions it to everyone new that enter the rooms asking about boost jumping and boost drifting ect..
I didnt find any on how to do those (boosting, boost jumping..ect) in this website but the links to Burnoutelite and Xbox forums are there. That takes it out of this site however and I always assumed that the point was to try to keep the viewer in the website as much as possible...Im not sure though, maybe im just missing it in the articles or this website doesnt really deal with the technical gameplay issues of that, however the player articles and blogs are a good look and difference compared to the usual forums...
The math problems are an interesting take...its simple but is it really needed? I was just looking at that and decided to type down a wrong answer...It wont allow me to go to the next page...It wont even accept it if there is no answer at all even....I thought it was also redundant when you enter again and the math question was completely different from the previous one. Im sorry, but I just dont see the point of that...LOL...How about a burnout question instead that will allow the viewer to answer the question whether right or wrong, and allow the user to get in to the next page where they want to go along with the correct answer in it........Just a suggestion, that might be better than the math problems..
Navigation is easy and viewers wont get lost, so that's definitely a plus....
People are already talking about Paradise.....No doubt it will be a great game and a lot of people will be playing it. My opinion is split though as there will also be people who will not like the game and stay at Revenge instead...Just a question though, how are you going to address that issue when people go to your website and see only Paradise articles?
Thank you very much for your comments. At this stage our main focus is on trying to provide people with information that is not already covered on the other sites. For example our “A Blast from the past†articles. An article about Burnout 3 Takedown will be published soon. Also we are trying to keep up to date on the latest Burnout related news. We are also keeping the general atmosphere more friendly than many of the other Burnout sites.
As for drift jumping and other technical issues this information might be added later. I monitor the searches on the site and topics that are searched for frequently will probably be added.
BurnoutAholics.com does not (currently) have its own article on wikipedia but we are linked from all the Burnout articles.
Funny that you are mentioning the math question. The main reason for having it is to avoid spam. It makes it a little bit harder for “bots†to spam the site with rubbish. There will be quite a few changes on the site the next week and the math question is one of the things that will be removed. Anonymous comments will also be disabled. That means that only members can add comments. We will also be making some changes to the Faq that will make it easier to find stuff.
