BurnoutAholics.com 1 year anniversary!

BurnoutAholics:

On the 1st of May 2007 BurnoutAholics.com as we know it today opened its doors to the public. As some of you might know the site has actually been around since July 2006 but the first 10 months was used to try out various ideas and technology for the site.

To celebrate our 1 year anniversary we decided to have a birthday party. We invited some of our most active members to the BurnoutAholics HQ in Margate, UK.

Margate Main Sands

BurnoutAholics Dominator representative Jasman traveled all the way from Norway to take part in the celebrations.

We had two Xbox 360s set up for the party. The most popular games were Guitar Hero II and III and Sega Super Star Tennis. Burnout Paradise was also played as we all helped to complete a few events to get SUFFUR on his way to elite.

We got a special birthday cake that looked a bit like the Revenge Racer with flames on the hood. Burnout merchandise was given to four of our most valued members to thank them for their contributions to the site.

The celebration was concluded with the BurnoutAholics Crazy Golf Tournament on Sunday afternoon. The tournament was won by drunknnumpty closely followed by Xandu and SUFFUR only 4 and 5 strokes behind. Two players managed to get a hole in one, well done!

As this event was successful and private we might do a public Meet and Eat ™ at some point in the future.

I wish we had people as dedicated as you over here (US). Well, maybe more collective. I suppose it doesn't help that our country is so large in compairison.

It really is awesome what you guys are doing, keep up the good work (DOWN WITH OPERATION BURNOUT!!! :P).

Big thank you for Xan and Zom for being the most gracious of hosts for the weekend.. was great fun and a nice break away from home..

nice to see that the site has remained popular and long may it continue.. while there is a burnout game out there I will be playing and writing on this site..

will have to have a rematch at the crazy golf next time i'm down.. give Xan a chance to beat me

Also have to mention the comedy of Suffur who had us all in stiches all weekend.. and it was nice to see my family in passing.. lol..

theres a thin line between genius and insanity... i think i've fallen off...

So you know how to rear your young if you have any... and remind you Sunday dinners are not fun but murder of generations of your family...

there is a thin line between fruits and vegatables, and you are a lost pea fallen off the plate, to be found dehydrated in the corner of the room, to be revived by the Resistance to fight back, Peas in a pod and all that, Fight and united for brothers mashed  from another pod, but still a bunch of vegatables, that gets their wounds salted... and peppered in my case...

Patience is something I taught myself, so I never know when it's going to run out? But flick a pea, and save one of drunks extented family.

Tipsey ( E or no E that is the question) snorting can be seen as rude with out a hanky, so stop laughing and eat your McAnus, quietly...

Oh and thank you all for the shock theropy, not that it did any good... now where is a plug socket and that glass of water, no kids don't try that at home unless you have an audience that will laugh, till you pass out and then they might call an ambulance, or not...

Patience is something I taught myself, so I never know when it's going to run out?

and get that odd hole in one! Life can change when you get a hole in one, Tipsy seemed satisfied, with her hole  in one, SKEELU all.

Patience is something I taught myself, so I never know when it's going to run out?
