Playstation Trophies

Okay . . . now I'm starting to feel REALLY stupid.  What the hell are Playstation Trophies?  Why do I have an icon on my start-up screen but NOTHING inside?  Why does everyone in my 'Friends' list also have NO trophies?  Will Burnout have something to do with the whole 'trophy' thing?  (If not, disregard the previous questions, as burnout is the only game I play on PS3 - to hell with my kids, they can figure it out on their own! )  Am I asking too many questions?  Why are there 'flying' squirrels??  Do they really need to swoop down and sneak up on acorns?  It all just doesn't make any sense . . .

but has not happened yet, maybe Davies or and update via a Tuesday will do it, but till then don't worry it will all come out in the wash.

Thanks!  But I still don't know what they are OR why there are flying squirrels.

If looked up via some site that says stuff about squirrels ( not that I bothered, so I'll make some stuff up for entertainment purposes), has adapted, evolved, a better word but spelt so bad that i should not be doing this, so it can shyte on people like the birds do, it makes them feel good but because all they do is gather nuts, mate, sleep, eat said nuts, and fly, well truth be known, they glide, rather than fly, but not that's not a Topic Bar on your shoulder, been walking in the woods again, oh and Trophies are like achievements on XBox live, but they look good in Home, when your friends turn into peeping toms, going through your Home. There's probably more to it than that but I don't own a PS3, and would only get one if given to me or it was so cheap, like almost free, not that I hate it or anything, but We all have our reasons, I think the controller is to small, but at least it's Green.

The only game that supports them at the moment is Super Stardust, more games are getting updates to enable them (Paradise Soon), and games like MotorStorm 2 and Resistance 2 etc. will be released with this already available...
