I got an email earlier providing me with details regarding the E3 2008.....and i have to say after spending 2 hours+ reading through all the new upcoming titles for the xbox 360..i was pleasantly surprised at the line up i think youll all agree that we are in desperate need of some seriously good titles....the only thing that mainly caught my attention was Rock Band 2 ? WTF weve only just had the first one...so im now re-considering buying the first one as the second looks a whole lot better and the tracks are awesome....but i have to admit i didnt really see any decent racing genres in fact i think was MOTOGP 08?......i wish this Revenge 2 that everyone is so much rumouring about was true.....everyones chatting it but i have scoured the internet for a racing genre that even resembles Burnout and i cant find anything.....so why is there so many people talking about REVENGE 2.?......or am i just missing something here?...im sure if there was going to be a REVENGE 2 or whatever this is the first place youd hear about it right?..... so im presuming its jingle jangle?.....so where are people getting these crazy presumptions from.?....if anyone however can enlighten me on this new game id be ecstatic...but back to E3....heres a link go check out the new titles http://e3.gamespot.com/games.html?tag=event_nav;games and enjoy because i certainly did.....
...i noticed while doing my search i found this http://uk.gamespot.com/ps3/driving/wheelman/index.html?tag=eventgames;title;13 I think this could be onto a winner for a driving game anyway....let me know what you think of it......

Hard drive game installs!
Will mean a nice quiet gaming experience, and I wont have to wack my volume up to get over the whirrrrr. So, I guess a 60gb hard drive is a good thing!

I guess the update in itself is an amazing breakthrough and i also agree that in order to appreciate it fully you will need the larger hard drive but i dont understand why they had to release a 60gb when they have the 120gb....i only have the 20gb on my xbox and instead of getting the 60gb im just going to upgrade to the ELITE.....but like i said for some people a 60gb hard drive seems like a reasonable offer...but im loving reading about the E3 update technology is improving for the better every day.....

E3
I quite liked the MS conference, the fall update sounds pretty amazing with the avatars. As for the 60gb HDD, I can see myself picking one of those up as the 120Gb is too expensive and pretty hard to find up here. There wasn't really any games there that caught my eye though... other than Banjo and FFXIII... Gears of War 2 just doesn't interest me at all, finished the original and thought it was... meh.
Something regarding Burnout might get announced at the EA conference that's starting in 20 minutes, but with all the updates for Paradise still being developed I doubt us Burnout fans will hear anything until next year at the earliest. :(

I'm not going to say much till I've seen the...
Most of the press briefings, but Mirrors Edge, looks very interesting indeed, so does Rage, and the above posts, like the new Dash also look interesting, Vista and PS3 and Wii like... which I thought was funny in a way.
Parties of 8 sound fun, like watching a movie together, and jumping from game to game, but can you still be in a Party and play 8 different games, I assume so...as it's like a chat function anyway...
But will that sort of restrict clans/teams to 8 players... you know your 8 bestest mates, foreverfriends (need a bear smiley, lol) and delete the other 92 on my list...
And for this to happen is Microsoft open/widening the bandwidth, like PS3 did from day one, hence less lag etc?

Bored...
I think i'm just starting to lose interest in gaming as a whole tbh... I used to love Resident Evil, I recently bought RE3 Nemeisis (my favourite) for my Gamecube. RE4 never really interested me when it came out and now it's the same with RE5... Everything that's coming out now is just... meh...
Even GTA4 is the same for me... and I've loved all of those, once you get over the intial shock of all it's nice details it's actually quite a boring game compared to the others in the series. That's pretty much how every new game coming out feels to me... just boring. I think i'm just getting old...

Your at the point I was 8 years ago...
and I have been looking for when it goes else where?
I thought I would be doing that, looking for the next media comsumption seller, but in truth, going else where is hard after being set playing same old same old, you know build a better shooter, see Halo 1 to 3, same game over all, just better processing power to give better graphics and user interface, the add of movies went with more space to save such data, and yes the engine for 3 is amazing for it to do what it all does, see I know nothing, no tech jargon at all, lol.
I though that Crackdown could have been the one to push the SandBox idea to it's fullest, I touched this on another post but I add more to this;
If Crackdown was 8 player (could be 16, why not 32, why do numbers double lol), ( I have not played GTA, but due to Game companies forgeting about Lefties, I can't refer to it, but do like alot about it) and you could do the same things but then bring out DLC so people could play, Basket ball. American Football, Soccer, Race, fight the bosses all at once, and the game could compensate for more players, with more enemies, plus add other side games, comsumer created, but through a test mod system and if it works be a proper download after testing by the creators of the original, and the sub game creator could even get paid too with MS points, if through the Xbox system.
I'm still waiting to see what APB with be like, on paper I want it!
Anyway I digress, finding an audience is the biggest fear, so comapnies make the same type of game over and over, some like Criterion, rather do something different, but still keep with in what they know, but to do something, like GH/RB, just going on the assumption, that people pose in front of the mirror with a tennis racket in their hands, air guitaring to their favorite songs, takes a risk ( a qouteish from said DICE summit video), and I feel after those DICE summit videos, is just make it and they will come because it's different because someone else made it. Portal a good example, now that with multiplayer will be nuts ( and no I don't know if the new Portal has it), then think Crackdown again.
I use Crackdown as an example of a game that take several genres and puts it into one space, is this where Xbox Live will go to, you sign in and you are in a virtual world like real life (or Fantasy like WOW, Halo, Fable 2 etc), and you have a home etc, that you leave to go drive downtown to kill people in, or play football, or go Bowling or watch a movie, do you guys get this?
Anyway that is just one Vision.
Games are set within genres, FPS, racers... Criterion are trying to break the mold with Paradise, though more change it's shape for game play, but with the technology their are using and created, it will mean games will be played different, other games have done the same thing, but what is the next Big thing, that will unlock an experience that can't be put down, and does it have to be that good, that you could play it at anytime, but stop because you can.
I don't know once again where I was going with this as I was Multi-tasking to the Power of 6 and I'm a guy, so when my internet cut out I though, 3 less things to worry about, but now when do I stop writing, so I can back up this post, lol.
My head gets so full it explodes ( and yes i do live from the experience, lol), and all you guys get to see, is the front wall part of the explosion, which has all sorts of bits, with different colours and shapes, and even if you could clean up with collecting the bits in one place, in little piles, you're still missing the bits on 5 other surfaces, that I just forget about, as it becomes the art of my mind or interior of my skull, lol.
To Procrastinate, means I'm not doing much, maybe do lots, think less, then if one works, then think where it will go, and do work to put more in, sort of like Paradise is now.
No I'm a Philosopher, about a virtual thing, see History of the World, by Mel Brooks to see what a Philosopher get paid. LOL.

There are lots of games out there, on all 6 platforms, but to a paying audience, the customers gaming, has become stale unless you have time, and all the consoles.

Rockband vs GH
In Rockband everything you download in RB1 can be played in RB2. This is part of Harmonix’s philosophy and they are basically building what they call a music platform. From what I have heard from interviews with Greg LoPiccolo it seems like Harmonix are trying to make it so that if you buy a song for RockBand you buy it once and you can then play it in all their games.
Neversoft on the other hand does things differently and you have to pay for and download your favourite songs in each version of Guitar Hero. Another thing that really surprised me was that you can’t use the RockBand guitar in Guitar Hero III. AFAIK there are no technical reasons that you should have to re-buy all songs for each version of the game. So it must be a money/licensing issue.
I think I prefer Harmonix’s ways of doing things as it seems a little bit more thought true.
