You don't have to use them..
Although I agree to a point that cars without boost have no place in a burnout game, the Rai Jin is fun to drive, and FUN is the only reason I play games.
Considering the update was FREE and you don't have to drive the boostless cars, or play any of the new game modes or timed challenges if you don't want to, there really isn't anything to complain about.
The only forced changes are to ranked racing, and I have been having too much fun with the timed challenges to even think about joining a ranked race so I don't know yet if the changes worked for the best.
The city is still the same, the rest of the cars are the same and all the same gameplay is still there.
I hope you give all the new online modes a try because I really think they add the longevity that Paradise needed to compete with the shelf life of the previous Burnout games.

Although I can understand
Although I can understand the 'un-burnout-like' sentiment regarding them, I think the boostless cars add another dimension to the gameplay and this can only be a good thing. It doesn't detract from what's already there - as you point out Zombietron, you don't have to use them.
They seem particularly suited to the new Marked Man style of gameplay and can't wait till things die down and the numptys are long gone and I'll get to see what it's really like! Of course, by that time, the next update will be just around the corner...

Stunt Run + Boostless Cars = ?
The boost less cars adds a new dimention to Stunt Run as well since you can no longer use boost to keep your multiplier going. Who will be the first one to get 1.000.000.000 in stunt run using the Hunter Olympus?
