Its Malaysias 50 birthday.... yehy, its that how you spell yehy or it hay witha y?Yhay??Yeah, Whayhey! No Hey?

Well to day is Malaysia's, 50 birthday, 50 years of independance, and i was in Malaysia a couple of weeks ago, yes where KL was, as it is the capital. And today outside Plaza Singapora, which is next to the Priminister's Lodgings, they had a tent set up (A big one), selling holidays to got to Malaysia and it's islands. And at one end there was and will be for a couple of days, a stage with a guy giving away tickets to use the Malaysia Eye, like the London eye, there is even one being built in Singapore as i type. Anyway this guy has a DJ back up, and he comes on stage, to sell holidays, and give away tickets with simple questions, i could have won 4 tickets while i stood there, but since i am not going to Malaysia this year, i did not bother, (the tickets run out at the end of the year, crafty them Malays, lol). But what was funny, is that hardly any one was going up on stage to answer the questions, they seem very shy, the Singaporeans, which is odd after what happened at the Heros gig. And when they do go up, and the MC rips the piss to try and get the small, but steady crowd to join in. And make the contestants to open up a bit, any way while doing his bit, there is a dance troop, from Malaysia, a tradition one, with the sarogs and bandanas, that point up, and the batik clothing. 4 guys and 4 girls, and there girls are very niiiiice, with there make-up on and traditional costumes. I watched them preform 6 different types of dance. One was the men wearing Kilts, yes kilts like the Scots and Welsh wear. And the dance also has parts of traditional Scottish dance in it. Anyway, i shot some video on the phone, i hope the sound came out too, because the music is cool, like slow techno, but not, i hasten to add. Anyway they did my favourite dance at the end, which involves, two bamboo sticks about 8 to 10 feet long, placed on two short ones. They then, tap them down on the short ones, then across so they meet together, they do this to a certain rythmn(sp). And while two people do that, two others will dance between the gaps, trying not to get thier ankles broke. I saw my parents do this with friends when i was a kid in Panang, and my mum really hurt herself. They then, get another pair, and put then cross ways, like a cross(Boot) and they dance into and around all four of the bouncing sticks, like double dutch Asia style. Its really cool.

Anyway it's night time here, so the people are out, the traffic is out (and that crowed you could walk Orchard Road {the main road through the city central}, via the roofs of the cars, while they move, same as it was 20 years ago when i did do it and surf the escalators, on the hand rails, as people fill them up(i'm to old to do that and i could get banded from coming back andat my age, i'm looking for work here if they will let me) and its really kicking off, its so much fun here and very safe, well it has been so far anyway, but whos going to mess with me, I am poor, tall and wise in the age to put me money in my sock, and i wear shades at night, like my dad, he use to do that so often they called him Ray(for Raybans), i just get wierd looks from tall people, as they are the only ones that can look up an see me.
