Do you ever feel pressured to do good or win when your racing in a certain tag? Im just wondering because it seems like people expect a lot out of you when you come in online. They have certain expectation of you already.. Like when I come in online.. "Hey Nero!".. "What happened to your rank Nero?" or.. "Nero is quick man".. so naturally your pressured to win... ALL THE TIME.. So naturally, you cant step back a bit and just race for the hell of it... its I have to win everytime...because thats what they expect from you... Otherwise when you start falling back its like.. "Are you going for lap times?"

i get this alot but over the last 3 months ive had so many new tags that it really hasnt effected me....but i do understand where your coming from.....especially if its a room of people who only know you as a name as theyve never raced you, then when they do race you and you dont do very well they start mocking you....lmao im having the opposite problem, im racing on a new tag the other night and i was racing a fast racer and i beat his ssa badly so he wanted to know who i was, as i told him he usually kicks me out he didn really need to know who i was, but if i was to load up my psyche ag he would kick me....so this is why i change my tag so often, just to get to race the fast racers who think im too slow....because when im on my psyche tag i race like tihs because of the pressure....going off topic arent i? sorry lol but yeah i know what you mean....we need to race nito.....its been a while....

Been a while
Tags and speed are a strange thing for me - tags i've used on French/German/Italians have gasps of how fast is this guy catching me, I see, don't listen, yet i'm not fast/but fast or consistent so go figure. Tags that are known? Yes you have something to live up to but kcuf everyday is different. Similar to you Psyche I wanna race like others and not be known and I understand this not one iota, you implying vengence to me personally recently or someone/thing else that you had in mind? Tags are strange - why do we do it?

Opinions
Yeah... people seem to focus more on talking in Revenge rather than the actual racing. If you screw up against certain players on it seems to spread like wildfire or ends up on YouTube.
Not naming names, but recently over the past few weeks i've been hosting my own rooms on Revenge and letting anyone join, good or bad... new players and/or people that have been playing from launch. But for some odd reason that's frowned upon by a few certain players on Revenge and has somehow given me the reputation of being some kind of newb basher that only races the new players for rank (even though some of these certain players have actually raced in my rooms and haven't said anything to me at the time of racing).
Someone is more guilty of spreading that rumour more than anyone else, so... when I joined that certain someone in his/her own room the other day, on his/her terms with him/her picking the tracks, the amount laps etc... that person only won a single race out of about 15 yet still goes on about how I only race newbs because i'm "slow".
As I already said, some people on there are just talk and like to make themselves feel less inadequate by putting down other people. I play the game because I enjoy it, not to listen to peoples opinions/drivel about other people. If you win you win, if you lose you lose... nothing should really come of whatever happens, no pressure.

Exactly how many tags did you create within the last 3 months? AND Who was this fast racer you raced that wanted to be friends with you? Silky has been making a few of tags lately too, Ive noticed... Him and Roonige and even using mposes3041 tag to put some times of the leaderboards??
And Ichi, I havent seen you online anymore... Do you even race at all? Because I heard you got some new tag that your supposedly using and Im not sure if Ive raced you.. But maybe you just dont want to be noticed??

I think I race the same most
I think I race the same most of the time. If I'm feeling really motivated, I can definitely race better and crash a lot less on the whole - but I haven't felt that motivation for quite a while. Nowadays when I get on Revenge I just... race, I guess. Whatever happens, happens.
In fact, I got owned pretty badly by Rofer the other day...

If I knew I was being judged on all this every time I was racing, who knows... maybe I would have tried harder instead of trying to have a good time.

Dizzy...
Thats why I got my Dizzy tag, so when I'm on there people know not to take me seriously. Then again, I can hardly ever be counted on for a serious race anyways :-)
Lately the most fun I've had on Revenge is getting together with long time friends i've made on the game. We ususally just carve out our own little corner of the server and keep to ourselves. Anyone is always welcome to join, no matter what skill level, as long as they don't cause problems, and don't expect a hardcore serious room. Some are fast, some can't see their tv anymore, but we still have a good time.
I know people talk that some people only race non ranked, noobs, whatever. I don't really care, rank doesn't really mean what it did a few years ago. We all know who the fast racers are. Play the game whatever way you enjoy it most. Not everyone enjoys the game the same way, or gets the same from it.
Cheers everyone and Happy Holidays, keep the drunk driving on the Revenge servers come new years!!

Time Differences
I would be in your rooms like a shot Eezo if we were on the same times, love a DUI room, especially yours - last race we had was Hobo, you and I? when I came on at like 9am and you recognised my laugh when I cracked up laughing lol and sussed me out! So Nero that answers your question my friend, yes I race a lot, some friends know it's me, respect my privacy and keep it to themselves. Others think it's me when it is but i'm not telling, others think it's me when it isnt. These tags will be gone by mid Jan coz me no have funds to support them and i'm glad but today I have one that i'll keep and people like you should know it's me if they see it and care to think.
Don't think it's a case of not wanting to be noticed - overall it's probably coz i'm crazy about loud music when I race, just emmersive, blanking it all out, the Focus, the Force lol Watching peoples reactions - fast racers usually do one of three things after you race them and win 3 races against them all, you've been there and seen it all. They either clear the room of what they see is dead weight and keep you in for the speed and send you a GR message, or they kick you coz damn it they usually win at least one of their races in their own rooms - can't have my friends see such a loss occur to me, or finally (and this is mostly Americans or British unfortunately) they clear the room immediately in a RAGE coz they lost - a one on one..... I'll prove to you i'm fantastic - your times are nothing!! Haha why RAGE for gods sake? It's a game. With the latter you get bad messages too - apart from the music side this is the reason I race French and Germans mostly now - they are competative, usually fast rooms and friendly even when you dont have a mic. And I dont inadvertantly get to hear people slagging off other people or being nasty or speculative. I've gone way off course here lol
I'm just saying yes Nero, i'm still here, undercover, minding my own business, Eezo is right again, we know who the fast people are and honestly I dont care for that side of this game. The youtube stuff with deadly, silky and roonige and the avatar chats is bizarre but another thing that was inevitable here - there are only one or two super fast racers I enjoy racing, Eezo, Nero you are there but the rest i'll keep to myself.
Anyways you'll see me about on something along the lines of Annunaki coz that tag made me laugh and you'll know it's me this time - have a great new year you guys!

Yeah that is
I always liked playing by my own way by trying to race as fast and consistant as possible, and that is always what gave me the majority of the enjoyment that i got from this game. I just really wanted to find something that i like to do most as an individual rather than being sucked into the same dribble that all of society was in. Mainly i was just tired of talking, I just knew that there was alot more talking than i found acceptable so thats why every instant i had with burnout and awesome music was just a vacation from all of the talking bs and i could actually use my mind for something that i found worth using it for. Burnout gave me a huge inspiration in that sense and that is one of the reasons burnout has been one of my very favorite things in life. I always thought that racing to be the best is the best feeling you can get out of the game, by taking your skills to a new level.
whether or not fast racers like to admit it, it is the most fun racing with other fast racers. Burnout kind of forced that to be true by having handicap, and it forced alot of racers including myself to avoid people other than the fast people. Its just like i can't help it, if i want to get actual meaning out of playing the game then i have to be able to have the potential to take my game to the next level and have the craziest most savage experiences possible. Otherwise I would ask myself what is the point of playing when i know it could be more fun? so yeah you just have to have the perspective of a racer that races for the best races.

Just play the game for fun
It makes everything much easier.... And yeah sometimes when I see your rank I wonder what you were doing lol, or how you were driving yesterday just crashing in to random stuff. I dont really care what any of you think about my racing, I think all of you are crazy very cool people but still crazy. I try all the time when racing in a good room, but I'm not going to put more effort just because Vapor, or nero joined the room btw sega is a noob racer....

Evasion-Lv6 is my only tag/ psn
i only have one psn i try my best most times some times i just use crap cars on purpose to see how much it makes a difference by and it's very rewarding if you still manage to win i've not raced for a bit my current rank is 770 but i've got upto 256 before and racing with the top 100 all the time helps if you need to learn shortcuts etc
on burnout paradise (ps3) i'd say truenewkid, dbc9mx, Lex , Laubi, reventon94 and yabbas_turd are the best hosts i can think of off the top of my head, they race fairly with nice routes etc and you'll meet good players in there rooms
