Recently some of our users have lost their blogs when they have been editing them. This is very unfortunate as lots of brilliant stuff has gotten lost in space. The cause of this is that when you navigate to another page the content of the blog-editor is lost. Clicking a link or going back (either by clicking back or pressing back space when a picture has focus) will result in your blog being lost.
Lots of editors have this problem and unfortunately there is nothing I can do about it at the moment.
Please take one or more of the following precautions when writing your blog.
- Use a different editor like word, notepad (if you don’t like notepad try UltraEdit which is my favourite editor) If you use word (or UltraEdit) your text also gets spellchecked. When you’re done just copy the text into the editor on BurnoutAholics.com. Also make sure that you fix any smilies.
- If you don’t want to use and external editor make sure that you copy your text (Ctrl+A selects everything, the Ctrl+C to copy) every now and them. By doing this you will only lose a little bit of text if it all goes wrong.
- You can also submit your blog every time you are done with a part of it. Then go back to writing the next bit of the blog.
Also note that your blog might be put in our moderation queue. This normally only happens if it contains offencive language or if the text contains lots of special character like brackets. Lots of links or repeated text will also put it in the moderation queue.
Hope these guidelines will make your blogging less troublesome.

No problem SUFFUR. I don't have a chat pad yet, but I would really like one. Will probably buy one in a week or two. I need a new headset anyway (will be my 4th one) so I might just as well buy the "Xbox 360 Messenger Kit".
