Toys don't come cheap

CG has released info on the Toy pack.

$12.99 for all 9, 1000 MS points! Is my 13 bucks worth of cars, and bike, going to keep me satisfied until the boost specials come out? when I am expected to then shell out some more MS points for those, probably 800 , and then the island, God knows what that update will cost. Now I know that all of the other updates were free, and business is business, add that all up, and you have now spent around 80 dollars, including the game. Some will argue that the game is new every time you update it.It is somewhat new.How about giving me a free car when I purchase the whole pack (well I guess the bike counts as a free something). At least making me feel like I got a little bonus for spending my hard earned cash, or if you buy 7 you can win 2 more by beating their burning routes, and you have to shut them down, that was fun stuff.Give me a beater that you just can't repair you have to put some miles on it, and win some races with it in order to fix it up a little each time, or upgrade it.Come on CG lets see some imagination, and creativeness when it comes to parting with our cash we want more bang for our bucks!!We need goals, something to shoot for, not just stuff we can buy, we want to win it!

Don't get me wrong, I love new stuff, and yes I will buy the whole pack, because after all, My name is Dodger455, and I am a Burnoutaholic!

I have always had a problem with buying additional cars for racing games. I believe that all the cars you ever need should be included on the disc. I will gladly pay for new game modes, additional tracks/map areas, more offline gameplay etc...

I think CG could easily have charged for the bike pack as this included new vehicles, new online gameplay, and new offline gameplay. They could still have given the day/night cycle for free so that everybody has the same online experience. As the bikes can not play in the same online room as the cars, they had an ideal opportunity to sell them as premium DLC... I really don't understand why they gave them away.

If they had of sold the bike pack.. even for a low price like 400 MS points, maybe the price of the Legendary and Toy cars could have been lower.

I have tried the Toy and Legendary cars as Xandu bought the packs for both, but I will not be buying them for myself as I think they are overpriced, they don't provide additional gameplay for me, and as I play in bumpercam view I can't see the car on my screen when I play anyway.

The Boost Specials, which is only 2 additional cars will be 400 points, Cube put up a list of all the prices HERE.

Until the Island comes out, and unless it's 1600 MS points or more, I wont be buying any of the Premium DLC. I would prefer more Gameplay then just more cars, 75+ cars is really more then enough already!

I have to say after playing with the toys for awhile last night, I like them more than I thought I would, and they are almost impossible to wreck.

I loved the Road Rage with the other toy cars, and it was very hard, because of the small size I spun out alot, but big fun.I have not tried the Marked Man yet, but Stunt run was fun.I drove them all, and the takedown 4x4 so far is my favorite with all wheel steering. They all have horns which I didn't know. The toy bike rider is very funny when you just sit there, and he falls asleep, and almost falls off the bike. The paint colors are fun, but the Citizen, and bike, cannot be changed.I will have fun for a couple of weeks on this DLC, and my daughter loved them. There is really nothing bad about them, except they were a little pricey. The fact that they are super strong is good for some flat spin, and barrel roll action.looking forward to some good U tube vids on the toys.

I definately agree on the overpricing of the toy cars. In my opinion, they may be cute (especially the bike), but the handling isn't good and I don't find it very enjoyable to play. I did buy the entire package of cars for 1000 points and that included the bike (like was mentioned already by Dodger 455). This was a better deal since they're all about 450 for each package seperately and I believe there were 3 packages to buy. I think this was sadly a waste of points that I could have saved for the next update that CG will be coming out with. Still love the game the same though
