Trophies & Achievements - PS3 Gets More, XBOX 360 Doesn't. Why?

I am curious to know why, with the last two add-on packs (Legendary Cars & Toys), there were extra trophies added for the PS3 but no extra achievements for XBOX 360. I'd like someone to prove me wrong on this, but it seems to me that Criterion has a strong bias against the 360.

Rebuttals are welcome.

Personally I agree with you, I believe that CG are biased to the PS3. And that they could easily have put more Achievements in with the DLC packs, including more with the Party Pack then the 2 we got compared to the Trophies on PS3 who had more.

This is the official CG line taken from their FAQ to explain why there are not more Achievements for the 360:

How come there are new PlayStation 3 Trophies but no new Xbox360 Achievements?

Microsoft put a limit on the number of Achievements a game can award. Sony don't put the same limitation on Trophies.

As far as I know, the 360 limits are 250 GS accross 99 new Achievements. 99 achievements is plenty enough for them to have given the Xbox 360 equivalent achievements for all of the Playstation Trophies, even if some of the were 0gs rated or gave 1-5gs. I would much rather see lots of different new achievements then a handful of 25 GS achievements.

At least there's something like that for the 360 and the PS3... There's nothing for the PC version aside from the stock achievements in-game. More content, more DLC (there's none for PC), more awards, nice leaderboard system...and they at least talk about improving, with more things, the console versions. They've not whispered a word that they're doing anything for the PC at all, even though they sold a LOT of copies.

^Ill seconde above post. Not having ANYTHING at all on pc is way more frustrating than xbox users having less trophies than ps3 users. Personnally im not paying for a gaming system to afterwards spending more money on addons. And thats another point: paying for extra cars... That hurts.

That's BS about Microsoft limiting the number of Achievements being Criterion's excuse.  Halo 3 has had three map packs come out since launch and every one of them is followed by more Achievements.  There's a number of other games that have done similar DLC with more Achievements.  I can't understand why they wouldn't do it for Paradise.  Bummer.  I should've bought it for my PS3.

As it is an Xbox exclusive, and isn't it published by Microsoft? anyway, because of that it gets to have its own rules.
