Version 1.8 and Cops and Robbers: Out Now!

BurnoutAholics:

From the 30th of April, not only will you be able to purchase Cops and Robbers, the new online game mode. You will also be able to get Version 1.8 as a free download which will include the following bug fixes, as per Criterion Games website:

GT Nighthawk PlayStation 3 Trophy
Something that only became apparent once the Legendary Cars went live is that if you already had the 2x Boost Chain Trophy it was impossible to get the GT Nighthawk one. We're pleased to say this is now fixed and everyone will be able to earn this Trophy once the update goes live tomorrow.

Game freezing on the start line of an online ranked race
We had a number of reports about this though we have had difficulty reproducing it in-house. However, we did find one possible issue which we have now fixed and we very much hope this fixes the issue some players have been reporting. We're monitoring the situation and will make improvements where we can.

Not being able to select purchased vehicles in the Junkyard
In the majority of cases we found the cause of this was that people had purchased the vehicles but not downloaded AND installed them.Correctly downloading and installing the vehicles fixed the issue. However there was a rare bug seen with a handful of customers who achieved their Elite license during a specific period of time last year which meant that some of the vehicles had indeed disappeared. We have now fixed this issue and that fix appears in the new update.

Smashes and billboards resetting after playing the Party Mode
This was a problem that occasionally happened when you started a Party then re-entered Paradise City.
They weren't actually reset. When you restarted the game everything was back to normal. However, it was annoying and we are pleased to say it has now been fixed.

Version 1.8 will probably be a required download for online play, once you have downloaded this to your Xbox hard drive, it will probably be safe for you to delete Version 1.7 along with any other previous downloads, as with all updates so far (for Xbox 360) each of the previous updates have been included in the new pack.

You can delete the other updates from your hard drive to clear some space, but yes, it is BIG!

It includes:

Cagney - The changes made within Cagney included ranked racing changes, online timed challenges and game modes; stunt run, road rage and marked man as well as the boost-less cars and some new liveries.

The Bike Pack - Bikes, freeburn challenges for bikes, day/night cycle.. and fog!

1.6 - The refinements pack and party pack, this changes the way Paradise looks.

1.7 - The DLC car packs; Legendary, Toy and Boost Specials

1.8 - All of the above (on Xbox 360) and new bug fixes as described above along with the Cops & Robbers pack.

Phew! all of that lot is a lot of mega bytes!

The cops 'n' robbers pack is probably just an unlock file as with the previous updates.

Took me under 4 minutes to download 1.8, so it's not that bad.

the cars don't have any boost on any side whats with that.

you pick a older slower car it takes ten times as long to get anywhere, not to mention the drag when your carrying the gold .

the robbers hideout and cops hq, don't seems change location, gold pops up is same place.won't be long and we will be talking about when the island is coming out again.

i do like the setup and the fact that everyone get the same car as the host, the pcpd is nice and fast, but i like to fill the burn, boost baby boost, there is only one speed and thats top speed.

its going to bags of fun lol.

I have bought the cops and robbers pack, and it is fun, a great online game mode which probably should have been in the game from day 1... but anyway it's here now. But, I really don't understand why there is no boost?

Boost for me defines Burnout and the way you earn boost in Burnout is what makes this game unique, I just don't get why CG keep making things for Burnout Paradise without the boost????

What the heck happened to this for PC? :(

I saw no mention that it wasn't going to be out for the PC now I see no mention that it is.

oot, I left the caps lock on, lol.

Anyway Island Pete says to be at Criterion gamesdo tcom, at 4PM British Standard/Summer Time,{oops edit} on Friday, this one, the 22nd of May 200 and 9, as there will be an announcement, hopefully for the Island, and it's details, so be calm, as the hype hits the fan, and hope it's cheap?

Patience is something I taught myself, so I never know when it's going to run out?

Obviously they'll be announcing the release date, but seeing as cops and robbers was 800 points, this will sadly be 1200 points. I'm not saying that it may not be worth that much, but I is poor.

I think this island is going to make or break them. People have waited a long time for this and if they/we feel disappointed with what we get that will be it.  I found cops and robbers to be a big let down.
