Need for Speed in Criterions Garage
A couple of interesting quotes from the article:
"Criterion Games head Alex Ward is overseeing development of a new, unnamed Need for Speed game--and that the project has apparently taken precedence over the next Burnout title."
"we don't have a plan right now for a separate major launch on Burnout because the team doing it is working on a revolutionary take on Need for Speed"
Kotakus Article
"Alex is one of the people in the industry I would analogize to the great filmmakers, etc., He is a true creative visionary. We had a great fight about what the next Need For Speed would be like. Of course, he gets to win because it's his call. It's not that I'm without an opinion on it."
Neither of these articles are particularly new, both coming from the beginning of last month, but I hadn't really looked into this much until now, so... As most of the Burnout Team seem to have been fairly quiet recently about Paradise, it makes me wonder how far into developing this NFS title they are? I am definitely eager to see what revolutionary changes to the NFS series CG are planning, and how much it will differ from feeling like a Burnout game?? At least we know now what Alex has been working on.
