Very Unusual: A Scooter - Very Usual OCD!

A quickie!  Woke to a rear wheel puncture earlier this week and its always rush rush in the mornings so I rang for the works van and switched the kettle back on, brew number 3.  My new mate Russ picks me up (Russ is the technical manager for our entire group and the most respected technician in the UK for Benelli Motorcycles - people will travel from as far south Cornwall or highest Scotland just for a service off the guy) he good, and we shove the bike in the van and chat about sheep and derelict areas on the way to work for some strange reason.

We were all too busy to fix this puncture and you surely will not see me getting my hands dirty, those days are thankfully gone lol so I steal a recent part ex Piaggio X8 125 scooter that was destined for ebay to go home on..... with reservation I might add!

My security settings wont let me add a picture so I'll do a small video review tomorrow when it isnt raining and post a linky.

There is no other way to say this so I'll just friggin say it.... Its bloody awesome!  Its like an armchair with wheels on steroids lol First impression was how smooth is this??! Its like riding Dumbo the Elephant with wings, so comfy, fast as hell - was looking online for a carrier for a top box and came across a Nitrous Oxide kit for it, of all things! hahaha So Im buying it, one owner from new - 2006 plate (30,000 miles thus ebay) and dropped on both sides but only cosmetic but more on this tomorrow with stinky linky. Now every scooter rider nods at me whilst every other biker looks away in shame lol And now just to get used to riding this thing Ive been taking all sorts of different routes, to test the brake limits and tyre limits of a scooter ive beeen treading unfamiliar ground and that is what brings me to OCD coz I never new I had it so bad:

My routines are fixed and are second nature and the scoot made me realise this.  Most important one is Left Glove on first, without exception - so these are all good luck charm things I'm thinking....

Even if I take my left glove off to get into my left pocket, the right hand glove has to come off before I can put lefty back on - yup these are gonna be weird for you hahaha

Right boot goes on first, again no deviation from this whatsoever.  I NEVER put a boot or shoe on a table, chair or an elevated counter before it goes on! Like never putting a hat on a bad - see movie Drugstore Cowboy!

Cash in left jacket pocket, Wallet in right, work keys inside pocket, test zips are closed about 6 times each before I ride!

If I intend to go out on a bike (or a scoot now!) smokes must be in left Gortex trouser pocket hahaha Ive gone fookin mad havnt I? lol Im wonderin now if its more alzheimers than OCD

ODD SOCKS, man gotta wear odd socks all the damn time, its the future!

There are a few more but I cant let them out the bag but I will tell you that If I intend to ride anywhere from home I wont cross the front door threshold without wearing a necktube and damn my routines are just not cool at all are they?!  BUT Im safe, Im still an alive biker who gets to ride another day and as you can tell (me riding a scooter for example): I dont care what other people think about me, why the hell should I?!

This 125 scoot is so comfy im pondering buying one of those flip front helmets so I can have a smoke whilst riding coz all you have to do is keep your eyes open and twist the throttle to ride it, its so easy and Im loving it - and now you know where I keep my wallet - goddamn it lol

but if it goes through the barn, he would wish he was on something with a bit more teeth or belt, said the other biker, lol. But if it makes you buggy cool, next you will be playing revenge while riding, a serious jackassed thought?

So how is the revenge spy business going on or the search for the bestestestetsed?

Patience is something I taught myself, so I never know when it's going to run out?

Xandu found a cool website once with photos and info on loads of derelict sites in Britain, I think the site was called broken-britain.com, but it doesn't seem to exist now? shame really cos it was cool...

I edited your blog to get rid of the big gap at the bottom... I hope that isn't part of your OCD! I have a mate who will only wear odd socks, so you aren't alone. I check my pockets for my keys and to make sure the zip on my pocket is done up, when I leave the flat, when I get to the bottom of the stairs and when I get out of the lift, so again, you aren't alone.

Erm yeees just a short vid on the quick benefits of a lazy rider scooter, thanks Zombie for cleaning up my OCD spaces and no Suf, my search for the bestest is fruitless but when you said that It made me wonder because...  I know who the bestest are supposed to be and no doubt, after racing most of them, I am not suprised they are known as the best. I mean, I can pull away from fast racers but I cant even keep up with the best - no way!

Just raced, yesterday evening, a silent clan (in party mode) french people all called xLFx insert name here... two of them were fast and two of them were decent and my old mate TooStonedTooCare (used to be Major Lobon) got the last spot and he quit on second race - we cant all be good all the time sort of thing but I beat the lot, except for last race because the french and some germans are strategic in that they will hang back to bring a balance to the end scores, either out of agreement or friendship, who knows, but we know this anyway if we care to have an open eye and mind. Its always gone on. Someone said to me about a well known racer lately that he would get his friends to sit back at the end so his ELO increased to win and this is the guy who legit got to number one rank a few years ago - easy to work this out and despite knowing the guy who told me this very well, I just had to say - dont be stupid man, think about it.... but who knows? More beside the point, who cares? lol

My youtube acc should be done downloading so have a peak at me kitchen - and my home insurance is invalid because of the amount of petrol in these bikes but been lucky not to have a spark ignite so far and blow things up hahaha Found a vid of the "3 Fat Bastards" our works house band playing during that open day we had and will also upload that one tomorrow probably coz they really good and the camera picked up their sound rather well which I didnt think was gonna happen so you can find that through here in about 24hrs if interested in watching a fat bastard jamming as opposed to smearing himself in jam, ew
