First week online

Thought I'd give a little update on my progress after a week online. I haven't been silly enough to play a *lot*, but I've usually managed to get online and play for about half to one hour a day. I'm presently at world rank 8859 and have been as low as 8155 earlier today, but a Road Rage took care of that. Not too shabby, eh?

Now the only thing I still haven't managed to learn is boost start. I've read the tips for it, but haven't managed to actually pull it off. Drift jumping is fun, though. I already knew about it before going online, but I haven't earlier managed to get up to over 230 mph before. I have now.  ;-)

I've met both boring persons and persons taking this way too seriously, and really cool guys of both genders who also love this game. Fortunately the good guys outweigh the dweebs so far, so I'm enjoying myself. Being in the timezone I am, GMT+1, makes it a bit hard to meet some of the regular US persons, though. But eventually (if nothing else then in a weekend where I "forget" about sleep) I'll manage.
