Burnout 3: Takedown Speed Run Challenge

I put Burnout 3: Takedown in my 360 today and my heart sank as I realised as it is a replacement 360 I now have NO GAME SAVE!!

So, I am going to try to complete the game again as fast as I can!

Actually, if I do it, it will be the first time I have ever fully completed Burnout 3: Takedown. I have never unlocked the Euro Circuit Racer before, so it's about time I actually tried! I might make that my New Years resolution... unlock the Euro in 2009!

I still have my save on my original crystal Xbox, but it would be nice to be able to play on the 360.

If you are missing cars/tracks on your 360, why not join me?

This isn't going to be easy for me and it may take some time... but I will keep this blog updated with my progress.. wish me luck!

i don't know how the 360 works but can't you make backups of your game saves ?

but i know how you feel had a prob with the ps3 had to redo paradise and again for my gf and her lil bro thats 3 times on my own, then had another prob so i bought the digital version off psn so that will take me up to 6 times through the game which i'm still doing atm, but i'm doing my profile with the cavalry only

good luck with takedown

Backing up game saves is no problem as long as you have a secondary storage device like the Xbox 360 memory card.

The problem with the game saves for Burnout 3 is that Burnout 3 is a original XBox game and most game saves are hardware locked which means that backups are worthless if your xbox gets repaired or replaced. Luckily this strategy was abandoned on the Xbox 360 (for XBOX 360 games) and save games are now locked to gamertag and NOT the hardware you played on.

Originally there was no lock at all on the 360  but after a couple of people had achieved gamerscores of 100K ++ from downloading savegames of a website Microsoft realized that this was a major problem and locked savegames to gamertags.
