Burnout Revenge 101

There is much more to Burnout Revenge than mastering the tracks and doing perfect laps at top speed. Start by selecting the best car: The Revenge Racer.

Then there is the Boost Start. Don't know how to do it? Don't worry, here is how to do the boost start in Burnout Revenge

You might wonder how people in the same car as you are flying past you when you are driving at top speed (209 MPH)? Since Burnout 2: Point of Impact it has been possible to do something called drift jumping. In Burnout 3: Takedown the Euro Circuit racer was probably the easiest car to do this with (although not many people knew about it or could do it) and you could get speeds well above 300 MPH.

In Burnout Revenge drift jumping became common knowledge and is probably the reason why this game is still very popular. There is no such thing as a perfect race, you can always do better.

If you want to be able to keep up with the best players in Burnout Revenge you need to learn how to do drift jumping and how to maintain the speed you gain.

Start by reading the following two guides: The art of drift jumping and FrozenVapor's drift jumping guide. When you have mastered the basics you should have a look at Nero Angelo's Guide to Maintaining Speed - Part 1 and Nero Angelo's Guide to Maintaining Speed - Part 2.

We also have some helpful hints on how to get some online achievements:
