--Ecstatic Over the Failures of ND, Michigan--

In college football news today, Oregon crushed Michigan on Michigan's home turf to the astounding score of 39-7.  Michigan, ranked #5 in the nation in the preseason polls, now drops to 0-2 for the start of the season, losing both games on their home field for the first time since 1959! This loss to Oregon comes after their historic loss last week to Division I-AA Appalachian State, and is the 4th consecutive loss for the team (dating back to last season).  Michigan also allowed over 600 yards of offense to Oregon, the 2nd worst defensive performance in Michigan's history! Michigan is awful!

In other glorious news, Notre Dame also lost their second game of the season, dropping them to an 0-2 start. They were ravaged by a Top 10 Georgia Tech team last week, losing by almost 30 points, and now got crushed while playing at #14 Penn State today, the final score being 31-10. Notre Dame played horribly, failing to score an offensive touchdown (their only touchdown came from a interception return on defense).  The most notable stat is that ND was held to ZERO rushing yards, bringing their total rushing yards for the season to an astounding NEGATIVE EIGHT rushing yards!! ND is pathetic!

This is a momentous day in college football as it is the first time in the HISTORY of the game that both Michigan and ND have started the season 0-2.  These two teams of failure will play each other next week, so at least one of them will have a win while the other will fall to a horrific 0-3 start. Too bad there isn't a way for both teams to lose!

I applaud the successes of Oregon, Appalachian St., PSU, and Georgia Tech for making the failures of two of my most hated teams possible. Michigan and ND SUCK!, YAY

Why do insist on calling it Football when you mostly throw the ball around, and whats with all that padding dude, hey its manly to have broken ribs and cauliflower ears playing the sport you love, you guys should try Rugby for a change the only padding those guys have is muscle, American football used to be big in the UK back in the 80's, I think there was a guy called the Fridge (damn fat dude) but then we realised that it was basically Rugby for chicks, sorry to flame your sport just to much padding to be taken seriously..

HEY don't flame my sport you ***!  LOL they wear helmets and padding for a reason, it's not like it's over their entire bodies, it's there for their protection so they don't get even more messed up than they already do. Rubgy is a man's sport but don't downplay football, watch the NFL and you'll get an understanding of what these gridiron warriors are all about!

Yeah, "Refrigerator" Perry the FRIDGE, HUGE fat guy hahah, he was a lineman for the Chicago Bears during the 80's (they won the Super Bowl in 1985). (There's no emoticon of a great big fat guy...

pretend!) -->

Fast and as violent as both games of Rugby and American Football. But at least when you go to any of these games(all three) you don't get a riot at the end of the match, or bad crowd control issuses, unlike English Football, and no riots at the end of a 'sockar' (as they play in socks)game either. I played both games of, Rugby, Right Hook or Fly Forward (you know, i could be making this up?) and Quarter Back, in American Football ( i was tallish, skinny, but fast and fit, and a target, so i had to run), and have to say both are fun and just as hard hitting. But played Football for a Sunday League and broke more bones in the 2 years i played, (though i still played with said breakages till the end of the match, in the other sports, you get hit bad, your in a coma or stretchered out to a medica facitiy near by, it does happen in English Football, but normally for some very nasty leg injuries, no details some of them were just gross), the team was pretty poor so not a lot of players on the side lines, but was a fun way to keep fit with your mates, alas i found XBox Live a few years after, and they have gone on to better things, NOT!

PS, have never played Aussi Rules and have watched a dozen or more games, and still don't understand it? But they look fit, don't stop running, and they do, what is very wierd things to the ball, sort of a volly ball punt, forward, and off course kick it. I think the origins of all football games are a variant of some sort of object passed round, even a head of a foe, and placed into goals of sorts, or a spike at the end of the field. Its nice to see sport on peoples agenda, what ever variant it is. And I hope all your teams every success, in the future. But go Wales(yes Boot, my friend is a big fan, so i give support), the All Blacks, my team of choice, Newcastle, (me Dads a Gordie), the Cowboys, (sorry have been a fan for 30 years) and the Chicargo Bulls, as i was knoob to basket ball and i watched a lot of thier games, though the Harlem GlobeTroters, were my first basketball, live viewing, and prefered that style of play, until i was told it was a form of entertainment? Is not all sport now, with the amount of money spent, entertainment? And as for College Ball, i have a lot to learn, as all I know, people are watching for the next big player to come up the ranks to be a Pro, piece of entertainment and the good life with a huge pay cheque, and you saw them rise from the proving ground to stardom. It's good to watch!

Good post Suffur, an interesting read for sure!

May I just say that I hate the Dallas Cowboys, as I am a SF 49ers fan and they have long been our rivals  Joe Montana and Steve Young were far greater than Troy Aikman ever was lol

Troy compared to the others, but i was talking about the years, with that coach, who wore that hat, Landry? I can't remember, but he got them to the bowl a lot of times! And hate away, San Frans good, did they not win a bowl just recently(in the last decade or sooner?). Any way i don't take it seriously, unless i'm doing it my self, but any good game is worth a watch, no matter what team?
