any new updates soon?

 so i've been playing with the bikes for quite sometime, an i got all the trophies now...so i can't really find anything to keep my interest anymore, i mean don't get me wrong i will still play Burnout but i was just wondering if anyone had heard anything about any updates coming out soon?

The Island is due probably shortly after Christmas. There is also a "Secret" update, but nobody knows what this is or when it is due to be released.

Criterion Games have been keeping news close to their chests lately, so we don't know that much about what is coming or when.

I think Criterion do still have big plans for Paradise... so watch this space!

Any news on this? I remember hints of planes and boats but thought that would be part of the island update?

Over on the Criterion Forums, Alex Ward posted that it will be unlikely that Planes will ever make it to our consoles. The way he worded this does not rule out planes for the PC version of the game.

The Secret update is stuff that hasn't been mentioned before, so only Criterion Games know what this is, and they are keeping it shrouded in mystery.

As far as I know Planes and or Boats were never going to be part of the Island update.

Did anyone else hear rumours of a cannon or was that just me

I heard they were thinking of novel and realistic ideas of fast travel from set points on on side of the map to the other (the cannon being the novel one)

also can you imagine planes with boost? im guessing the plane and boat ideas were floating around the office one day then one person let it slip and is now kicking themselves for letting it get public :P oh well

i kinda hope they dont release it. keep it to islands and new land vehicles maybe a new set of off road cars like the dust storm or bring back the firetrucks buses and garbage trucks and with them maybe some interesting new game types?

and one last thing i hope they dont start with releasing updates on different formats (thus separating the community) it's slightly begun with the ps3 having a slightly bigger emphasis on it than 360 (can u guess what i have)
