Burnout 3: Takedown on Xbox Live only until 15th April 2010

At the time I wrote this (Dec 2007) I would have taken 2 more years if that was all we could get. It still doesn't seem like it's time to say goodbye though.

Burnout 3: Still Alive (but damage critical)

This was a triumph.
I'm making a note here:
HUGE SUCCESS.
It's hard to overstate.
My satisfaction.
Burnout 3 online.
The servers must not.
Go off. Again.
For, the good, of all, of us.
Except, the ones who time out.

But there's no sense lagging,
Stop uploading those files.
You just keep on boosting,
'til you run out of miles.
And, the takedowns get done,
And, the red team has won.
Now, the blue team is not,
Still alive.

I'm not even angry.
I'm being so, sincere, right now.
Even though, you took me down.
And killed me.
And ruined my lap time.
And then stole my boost, when I, respawned.
I was just about to win.
But that does not matter now.
The important factor.
Is we are back online.
So we can enjoy.
Another wonderful time.
I was sad it was gone.
Think of what we'd have done.
If we only would have had.
Burnout 5.

Burnout Paradise.
It will be good, and make a change.
Maybe you'll find, it's more fun,
Than Revenge.
Maybe Takedown too...
THAT WAS A JOKE, HA HA, FAT CHANCE.
Anyway, this game is great.
It's so addictive and fast.
And it's still, fun, driving, even when, you're in last.
Because first place, can just hit a bus, and get passed.
No matter who has won.
All the battling, has been fun.
In the end, we are all.
Still alive.

And believe me. I am.. still alive.
On 3rd 360. but I'm still alive.
Back on the xbox 1 and I'm still alive.
On backup burnout disc.I am. still alive.
When the server's dead I will be. still alive.
Still alive?
Still alive!

I would like if EA brought back Burnout 3 in its entirety. Maybe make Burnout 3 Arcade for XBLA. One of the best parts of Burnout 3 was the online, and with that gone the game does not feel complete. Burnout 3 is probably the highest rated racing game of all time, so its not like EA would be taking a risk in bringing the game back.

So it looks like more things original xbox live was holiding back include plans for windows 7 on mobile phones.

I thought it was a good tribute... and B3 gets a mention at around 2 minutes into the video :)

P.S. EA weren't slow in taking the servers down, Xbox Live is still online for other Original Xbox games at the time of typing this.

That little tiny video "segment" is NOTHING in comparison to GiantBomb.com's XBOXALYPSE. I forget how many hours they played for, most of which was Halo 2, but they played Burnout 3 for a bit.

Hahaha oops. The Burnout 3 is just after 1 hour in. It was lucky I had that room open with Takedown Denied. This is exactly why, so I could give ppl a room with all the tracks. At that time though I wasn't paying attention (hence the room name) so just hearing a couple of room joined noises I hit the start button while racing in another room :)

As they were not very good racers, but hats off for the nosatalgia, and having a fairly decent game save, though low or nil of special cars, lol. And they so grinded the rails, lol.

Patience is something I taught myself, so I never know when it's going to run out?
