Comments, Blogs and Forum Etiquette

There have recently been some derogatory remarks towards Burnout and Criterion on the site. Although your Blogs are your own personal opinion and we will not edit them unless they contravene the terms of use of BurnoutAholics or use swear words, please remember that this is a Burnout fansite and if you are not a fan of the Burnout series you have no place here.

It has been brought to my attention that since we added addiction points the quality of the blogs and comments has deteriorated. It's about quality, not quantity! Keeping to the following guide lines should help to keep the site looking pretty.

Comments

  • Give your comment a Title. Do not use just a . or part of the body of the comment as this looks like you are repeating yourself. Remember that the Title is shown on the Recent Comments list so keep it interesting and relevant. If you can't think of a title call it RE: "the name of the blog/story".
  • Do not write single word or very short sentence comments, if you don't have anything of substance to add think twice before posting.
  • Do not Spam or start / take part in flame wars - BurnoutAholics takes this very seriously and you risk being banned if you abuse the site.

Blogs

  • Your Blog will be read by other BurnoutAholics so try to keep it interesting or entertaining for all.
  • If you want to spell check you can copy and paste into another program ie wordpad and spell check there.
  • Do not navigate or use the back button unless you have saved what you are writing or it will be lost.

Forum

  • You voted for a forum so use it! If you have a topic of discussion the forum is the place for it.
  • Any site suggestions including Poll topics should be posted in the forums.
  • Do not Spam or start / take part in flame wars - BurnoutAholics takes this very seriously and you risk being banned if you abuse the site.

We now have PM's up and running so private messages can be sent instead of being posted as blogs/comments.

Thank you for contributing to BurnoutAholics and making it the Best Burnout Fansite out there!

There have recently been some derogatory remarks to fans of Burnout in Criterion's podcasts.  I hardly feel that taking offense to that would cause someone to be, "not a fan of the Burnout series;" to say that objection or discussion about something is wrong entirely without question, is McCarthyism. 

I feel that if there is an injustice, it should be brought to the eyes of the public... though I will admit that I tend to have strong opinions at times.

Personal attacks are prohibited in the Terms of Use of BurnoutAholics.com.

So far I have moderated this site by posting guidelines within my own blog. If there are further breaches of the Terms of Use more direct action will be taken.

...friends you thought you had will, coming knocking on your door while you race, mess up your lap time make you crash and by the time you get to the door, then will have gone to the pub, without you. Any they will only do it for a week, at odd times, because they have better things to do, just like you very bad people. I'm not bad my Wolf suit is in the wash. Don't upset the right hand woman of the Controller, she knows where i live and might take it out on me, and i just got a life.

it takes me back to my public forum days on bungie.net when I called Frankie (he is a mini creator not as good as ours but still one) a few choice words and said he sucked at the game he helped to develope or make whatever, and unknown to me forum rules prohibit a member of bungie blah blah blah being flamed (but he did suck) and I got a nice PM followed with a 7 day ban (longest 7 days ever), I dont read rules they are for noobs and suffur (is that allowed oops, sorry suffur)  I do appoagise for dissing your man from criterion on this site but I do not take back anything I said, dang it ive lost the plot now, I hope you havent.. lol

i dont think i would want to hurt anyone in any way i have befor in the past but i regret that!

 

The harder to play every game makes you more a winner the cheating to the top!(it's like the needler got on Steroids!)

(People play Road rage on purpose?!!)
