I don't think you can really complain about them taking the piss out of bad spelling. It's very easy to do a spell-check in this day and age and this should catch most of the errors that they are picking up on. It also never hurts to do a final read-through after the spell-check. This doesn't really apply for someone with dyslexia (is it just me or is the spelling of that word not the ultimate bad taste joke?) but the rest of us have no excuse. I know that an email is supposed to be somewhat throwaway but until they stop reading out every one we send them you have to assume that they are for public display and/or ridicule.

Well, Alex Ward CAN be a bit of a douche. I wouldn't say anything about unprofessionalism because...well...dunno, for one it's just Ward who makes those comments and for two it's still fairly funny and somewhat informative. Plus, some gamertags really suck.

I’m with hn6 and Barcode on this one even though I did get razzed a little bit.  I don't get paid to spell correctly so I never bothered with it.  It’s my own fault for not spell checking.  After listening to the first 4 pod casts it was pretty obvious that they are going to read your e-mails letter for letter character for character and that Alex is a stickler as far as spelling goes.  Small price to pay to hear some of our questions answered which is more than a lot of designers/developers are doing.  They could just leave us in the dark.  Like hn6 was saying, if you send something in everyone’s going to hear it so give it a double check, its your own fault if you don't.  It was kind of shocking to hear the team treating their fans like that though.  I would have expected a little bit of leeway towards the people who were writing in to them but oh well.  Alex Ward was no worse than what Bootleg can dish out, I'd like to see those two race in a room sometime.  My moneys on Boot.  For anyone else that is thinking of entering in any questions for the pod cast I typed up this intro to use if you want...hopefully they can see the humor in it.

Alex (Censored) Ward may be a genius as a brown nosed person said on this site but do remember even a genius has flaws (I should know) maybe I miss interpted what he was saying, maybe he is trying to get all the kids to pay attention at school (not that its anything to do with him) maybe he cant spel himself and finds it as a comfort blanket to slate those that cant answer back, thats it subject closed I dont want to get banned from this great site (yes I have a brown nose as well) thats it no more late for work.. I think it was a metaphorical thing.  I think Alex knew that anyone writing in was a hard core Burner and must have thick enough skin to be taken down a few times.  I don't know, I think it's cool what they're doing.  So Alex Ward dissed you / me / somebody a little bit.  Who cares? Its kinda cool actually.

Was funny when they all shut up when that one guy mentioned the barrel roll vertical...they obviously never thought of it before, lol.

And they never really answered my question about the kick function either.  They just read it, said 'thats a good question' and moved right along.  Maybe they haven't gotten that far yet?  Who knows, I gotta believe they pre-read the e-mails before hand.  I did get 'em to mention 'our fan site (BurnoutAholics.com really really fast)'  @ about 34 minutes into it.  Oh well, it was still really cool having them answer some questions.
