Final Leaderboards; Burnout 3: Takedown

As well as the leaderboards from Burnout 2: Point of Impact, I also took shots of the Burnout 3: Takedown leaderboards. As well as the top 100, I also took photo's around my rank and around Xandu's rank, to capture as many names as I could. There are also pictures of the Crash Rankings.

As you can see from Xandu's comments, a lot of the top ranked racers used glitches to gain their points. We think the first genuine scores are around the 135 million mark! Some racers put a LOT of hours into this game!

I also took a few photo's showing the last room that I was in, the last 6 racers to play on Xbox Live. And then finally, the last screen messages..."This game can not be played online at this time. Please try again later"

Burnout Paradise

Burnout Paradise is the latest instalment in the Burnout game series. It was released in January 2008 on XBOX 360 and PS3. It is not just the next evolutionary step in the game series but more of a revolution. Burnout Paradise is an open world game which includes lots of new game modes like Stunt Run, Show Time, Marked Man, Challenges and Motor Bikes.

Burnout Paradise has a solid single player mode where you can compete in race,  stunt run, road rage and marked man events to gain licences and unlock cars. This all happens without loading and the entire city is unlocked for you to explore straight away.

Criterion Games has put a lot of effort into making the online game easily accessible to the player and to build a strong online community. Traditionally one would think of racing, road rage and crash as the primary online game modes. This is not the case in Paradise City. According to Criterion Games Freeburn is the most popular online activity. Freeburn includes challenges, road rules and online games like stunt run, road rage and marked man.

Burnout Paradise FAQ

I've been reading a lot of the threads that have been posted on various Burnout Paradise forums lately and I decided it was time to do a little FAQ. There seems to be a lot of confusion about lots of different topics and I've tried to cover some of them in my mini FAQ.

What is a BurnoutAholic?

A BurnoutAholic is a person who is totally devoted to the burnout series developed by Criterion. He or she has played all of the games in the series and regularly plays at least one of the titles. Most BurnoutAholics play burnout a couple of hours a day. They are also generally active in the burnout community. BurnoutAholics don’t cheat or use glitches to boost their rank. Generally rank is not what drives BurnoutAholics to play the game (although some say they prefer to be in the top 1000). Currently Burnout Revenge for the Xbox 360 is the most popular game. The highly awaited sequel Burnout Paradise is due for release winter 2007.
