Shiny Red Something

There has been a flurry of excitement caused by Three Fields Entertainment as they announced on Twitter that the next game they will work on will be a spiritual successor to Burnout 3.

Burnout 3 was arguably the greatest of all of the Burnouts. It was the reason for my addiction. It was where our Burnout community was founded as it was the first time we had been able to Burn online, together.

There are many highlights of Burnout 3. The takedowns and rivalries, the tracks and crash junctions, the music and sound effects, the speed and mayhem.

We'll be following Three Fields Entertainment on Twitter as they continue the Burnout story from where it began. A small team dedicated to bringing us the best arcade racing experience without using a coin-op.

Follow their progress on Twitter and Facebook.

Burnout Revenge Servers are still online

Burnout Revenge Servers are still online! If you have problems connecting to the EA servers and use your gamertag on both Xbox 360 and Xbox One the solution is as follows.

1. Turn on and sign in on both consoles (Xbox 360 and Xbox One)
2. Launch Burnout Revenge on the Xbox 360 and find a race or host your own.

Returning to the lobby after a set of races seems to be pretty slow, but it works so be patient.

Criterion Games announces Burnout Crash!

Burnout CRASH!

The rumors have been confirmed. Burnout CRASH! is coming as a download only title to XBox Live Arcade and the Playstation Network this fall.

Criterion Games have gone back to their roots with Burnout CRASH! and reinvented the fan favourite Crash Mode as a brand new installment in the award-winning Burnout series. The new game is inspired by pinball, retro music and game shows.

It sounds like the gameplay will be as fun and simple as in the previous games. Drive in to an intersection, cause a massive pile-up and blow up everything in sight.

Burnout 3: Takedown

Burnout 3: Takedown, obviously the third game in the series, was released on the 7th of September 2004 in the US, on the 10th of September 2004 in Europe and Australia and 14th of October 2004 in Japan. The game introduced "always on" boost, meaning you no longer had to fill your boost bar before being able to use boost, but the most important introduction was the name of the game.. Takedowns!

Nero Angelo's Guide to Maintaining Speed - Part 1

Okay, I don’t have the same lap times as FrozenVapor, but I think I’m qualified enough to talk or write come info about this. Seeing how PsychedelicBabe asked this question a couple of days ago, I will try to help and put what I know for you all to see. If you’re not convinced however, that I’m qualified to write this, here are a few of my times:

Burnout 3: Takedown Online

Burnout 3: Takedown was the first Burnout game that could be played online. Burnout 2: Point of Impact for XBox had online leaderboards through XBox Live but no online play.

The online play is one of the main reasons why Burnout 3: Takedown became extremely popular. The introduction of the offensive driving elements works perfectly when you take the game online. Burnout 3: Takedown has three main online game modes; crash, road rage and race. Race and Road Rage can have up to 6 players in one race. In crash the maximum is 8.

When you host a game online you will have all the tracks and crash junctions available that you have unlocked in the world tour. If you don’t have any cars in a specific series the host can lock the series and you will be given the Type 1 car or the Custom Coupe in the Special Series.

Burnout 3: Takedown and Crashing

The Takedown

Burnout 3: Takedown introduces the takedown. To take someone down in Burnout 3: Takedown means that you make an opponent crash. There are several ways to take opponents down.
