EA Closes Burnout Revenge Servers for PS2 and Xbox

EA announced on the 1st August 2007 that the servers for Burnout Revenge on the PS2 and Xbox will be shut down on the 1st of November 2007.

This announcement was publicised on a few forums but nobody seems very concerned, so I suppose EA have made the right decision.

I was not surprised by the announcement as the Xbox version of Revenge was like a ghost town online pretty much as soon as the 360 version was released.

Suffur in Singapore.

Well i am loving it(also McDonalds taste better here, they must wash thier hands), my dad is ok, went to the asia cyber games thing, Met trixie from xbox.com, and her goons, video monkey and hooper(something), and two external-corporat types. I also saw the master chief, and i was taller, hahahahahahahahaha. I saw some new maps for Halo 3 and some making of footage. I left my dad to do his own thing as i wondered around, and he got fracking interviewd by the BBC, and only told me as we walked out the door. Anyway China won the DorA Championship for the 360.

Post-E3 2007

Burnout Paradise has won a plethora of Best Racing Game at E3 2007 awards, a list of them all can be found  here on Criterions new Paradise page. They also have links to all the videos and interviews from E3.

The E3 showing of Paradise was a resounding success, now its just a matter of time to see if the finished product will live up to the hype.  How many Best Racing Game of 2008 awards will Burnout Paradise win?

Going out to see the world, and see if they play Burnout and Xbox. And Squeeking.

I'm off to see the Far East, see the changes and if my memory card can slot into some strangers box. I will miss you all but if i find a PC i will keep you up-to-date, with my adventures, though i'll probably be asleep, for most of it?

The Return of the Sequel

Xandu mentioned in passing that he thought the next Burnout maybe called "Burnout: Payback" and it got me thinking. Will there be a Burnout after Paradise?  Then I read this msn article on sequels.  I know that Criterion don't do sequels.  They would rather bring out a reinvention of a title and give us a new gaming experience. With Paradise they seem to be pushing the Burnout envelope to bursting point.  I know we wont see Paradise for months yet so it's really premature to talk about but . . . .
