The Learning to Drive Saga Continues....

I was very hopeful that the last time I took my test would be the last time I would have to take it.. but unfortunately I touched the curbs on my reverse park, and again when I tried to correct myself, which lead to another FAIL!

And this was on my driving instructors last day at work, as (sensibly enough) he has found himself a proper job so wont be able to teach me anymore.

I decided to take a couple of weeks off from driving, as I had a week in Norway planned, but now I am back so had to start searching for a new driving instructor.

I Bought a New Car!

That's right! Amazing as it sounds and after all my complaining about the outrageous pricing, I caved to peer pressure and purchased the Extreme Hot Rod!

I like it! and it did give us some much improved Lap of the Gods times, and I imagine it will be good for other Timed Challenge records, although Rock around the Clock was a bit rubbish last night!!

Another Time Travelling Crash TV episode!

So, episode 27 saw us go back in time to 1983 for an Open University style show all about the Boost Specials. Today, we go all the way back to Pathe News style footage  all the way back from way before even my time!!

Here is the linky for those of you who don't know how to view Crash TV episodes without my help!

Crash TV episode 27 - Open University for Boost!

I don't know how many people who play Burnout Paradise were alive in 1983, I imagine that for a lot of you this is way before your time and you may not get the reference. But, the new Crash TV is based on BBC 2's Open University shows and features Professor Follett teaching us all about Boost.

Job Vacancies at Criterion Games

CG have posted an add for experienced artists today, you can see the full story HERE. The thing which leapt out of the page at me was "....experience of working on driving games is a definite plus."  Which to me indicates that the next project they will be working on will be a driving game. I know they have been linked to creating an NFS title, but it could also be Paradise 2, or maybe something new?

New Car's New Achievements

With paid DLC the developers have the opportunity to add up to 250 gamerpoints worth of achievements and upto 99 different new achievements, at least Orange Box added 99 so presumably anybody else can add that many.

CG added 4 new trophies with the Legendary car pack for PS3, here is a list of the trophies:

Criterion Games Network: CG answer's your FAQ's

I was having an explore on the CGN as we now all have access to it via the CG webpage, and I thought I would re-post this FAQ, in which CG explain why the sponsor codes were removed amongst other things, here it is:

Well beyond the year of Paradise...

Here we are, beyond the year of Paradise and CG's support for the game is still going strong. In their Twitter's they are still talking about playing through the game as part of their working day. The Island and Cops and Robbers packs are still being finished and will not hit our consoles for a couple of months at least, then there is the work they are doing on the 3D version???

Which makes me wonder, are Criterion Games supporting Paradise too much?
