This had been hinted at on the Qore special Crash TV episode, but here is a full article from Sky news all about 3D gaming and Burnout Paradise 3D.

Here is a snippet of the bit about Burnout Paradise 3D:

Is Twitter the next big Burnout Forum?

I started following Criterion Games on Twitter recently. I have not been on Twitter all that long myself, but it is a great way to quickly keep in touch with friends all around the world..

anyway, back to CG on Twitter... this morning CG's front page news was all about how they now have Twitter accounts. You can sign up to Twitter and follow Criterion Games, Matt Webster, Pete Lake and Craig Sullivan. Since this was announced on the Criterion Games website their followers have gone up to 500+ and lots of names from the forums have now joined Twitter.

Xbox Burnout 3: Takedown Tournament

Umo is getting a Burnout 3 Tournament going over at the Xbox forums, it will probably be held on Saturday 21st of Feb. Here is a link to the sign up thread:

Crash TV episode 23: Party Pack

Crash TV Party Pack Special

In which 4 of the Burnout team sit around the sofa passing the pad and showing you how the Party Pack can be played.

Having seen more of the Party Pack I don't get why this hasn't also been sold as an Online game mode? The party is for up to 8 players, the same amount as an online lobby in Paradise City, and a lot of the challenges in the Party Pack would be a lot of fun for us to play online.

How Online Road Rage should be...

The best incarnation of online Road Rage IMO is in Burnout 3: Takedown. It had all the right ingredients, and the takedown physics were spot on. I loved nothing more then being on the Blue team in my Super Assassin, running as fast as I can away from a horde of Red Euro Circuit Racers.

In Paradise, it's not quite the same.

Instead of all racers starting in the same place, we all start wherever we are on the map.

Instead of the blue team earning boost and the red team having infinite boost, the blue team has not boost at all.

3 More NFS games before the year is out!

In a press release yesterday 3 new Need for Speed games were announced by EA games. Here is the full Press Release:

Crash TV episode 22: Qore Special

My first thought was WTF is Qore? but thanks to Google I now know it is the PS equivalent of Inside Xbox, or at least that's what it seems to be. But, you have to pay for Qore on the PS Store and it is only available in North America.

Anyway.. if you want to see it (I haven't seen it yet, still got over an hour at work!!)
